I. Do you know where the evacuation shelter is when you need emergency shelter during a major disaster? At present, the website of the Agency has established a link to the "Easy Emergency Evacuation Map for Villages" (Fire Agency Official Website / Convenient Enquiry / Easy Evacuation Evacuation Map at http://www.nfa.gov.tw/cht/index.php?code=list&ids=82. On the map, there is the location of the shelter in each village. In the obvious area around the premises or on the main roads, there is a "disaster prevention and evacuation bulletin board", which contains information such as shelter name, direction and number of people the shelter accommodates so that everyone can understand the location of the shelters and quickly guide themselves when disasters occur. At present, "disaster prevention evacuation bulletin board" is divided into the following two types:
- "Direction sign for shelter": as shown in Figure 1. It is mainly in shelters adjacent area for the direction of evacuation.
- "Shelter location sign": as shown in Figures 2 and 3. It is mainly in shelter's wall or surrounding area of the premises, including the Chinese and English name of the shelter, space area, capacity, public name, contact number and date of manufacture and other information.
II. Since 2009, the Agency has promoted disaster prevention sprout project. One of the key tasks is to subsidize the county and city to set up a "disaster prevention evacuation bulletin board". So far, more than 3,000 bulletin boards have been set up in the country. You can look around to find these bulletin boards around your living environment. Once a disaster occurs, you can know where to take refuge. Please cooperate with the government's contingency plans.
